Introduction to medieval script and illumination. Use medieval scripts to create greeting cards, invitations and souvenirs, and decorate them with illuminations or ornate initials.

Discover some aspects of medieval manuscripts, the evolution of handwriting and writing instruments.
Work on two types of medieval script: caroline and gothic. Each participant writes his or her first name, surname, town and a sentence.... The exercise sheets include a model of the script used. They can be used later, in class or at home. Participants also try their hand at using a reed calamus. An illumination exercise is proposed using colored pencils.

Workshop organized all year round, by reservation only.

Group children (6-16 years): 5 €.
