Hillside dam and artificial snow reserve

The snow reserve is on the Darandet slope and stretches 1100m. The hillside dam on Le Bois Noir stores 7500m3 of water.

The snow reserve has 12 sections including 8 equipped with V3 snow cannons. 4 are mixed areas for a ventilator snow cannon. The machine room (bottom of the slope) houses a variable speed pump to reach an altitude of 1160m and a compressor to ball up the remainder.
