Description

Situated in the Lake Geneva basin, in Chablais, between Thonon and Annemasse, the castle extends over a private domain of 15 hectares on the mountainside. Listed as a Historic Monument, it has been magnificently restored and has recovered all its medieval cachet.
"Le musée d'Art et de Folklore Régional" of Fessy also known as the Muséam, is one of the most important national collections devoted to the peasant world. It was gathered by a peasant-artist from the village: Bernard Lacroix, in a house of the seventeenth century. built by the Carthusians of Bellevaux. The reconstructed workshops complement the traditional environment of rural life of the past: the clog maker, the shoemaker, the carpenter, the carpenter, the weaver ... and of course the forge, the essential den of a craftsman of whom nobody could not happen. In a new airy room the 18th century plows are offered to the discovery of the public. The other rooms of the museum Fessy farm are always commented by the guides trained by the association
