"Le Mont Forchat" Snowshoe Trek

This trek is a must-do for fantastic views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc from Saint François de Sales.

Route details: Set off along the tarmac road to Très le Mont from the Col du Feu car park. Please note that the road is not cleared of snow from the hamlet of Plagne onwards. The journey to Très le Mont mountain pasture takes 1.5 hours. Once you reach the Oratoire, continue 200m then turn left skirting around the little lake (covered in snow). Go up towards the spruce and beech forest. Follow the red and white marked route until you reach the top where you'll find a clearing and an altar. 10 minutes later you will find yourselves at the peak of Mont Forchat where Saint François de Sales stands.
